About Face Theatre Workshops Begin THIS SATURDAY!

About Face Theatre is looking for an ensemble to help put together WHAT'S THE T, premiering the summer of 2012.

The first workshop will be held on:

Saturday, October 22nd
1:00pm - 3:00pm
72 E. 11th St, Room 511
(couple blocks from the Roosevelt Red line)
Snacks are provided. CTA cards or Metro Cards available for those who
need help with transportation. The workshops are 100% free!

((The workshops are going to continue for the next 8 Saturdays. Same
time, same place. 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 11/26, 12/3,
12/10))

All folks are welcome! No performance experience necessary!

Inspired by the drama of the recent events in Boystown-- stabbings,
marches, counter-marches, community meetings, and tons of media
attention-- WHAT'S THE T is a fast-paced, hilarious, community-driven
story that examines the divisions and connections within queer
experiences on the north side of Chicago and on the south side of
Chicago, focusing on trans experiences.

In these workshops, we'll develop the script, learn social justice
tools, learn theatre skills including acting movement, drag
performance, flash-mobbing, story collection and playwriting, all to
co-create this new play.
Come join the ensemble -- you know you want to. We definitely need a
lot more voices to help out with this project.
