Greetings Supporters of the Transformative Justice Law Project of Illinois!
We are very excited to announce that we will be representing a client in our first petition for Executive Clemency on April 10, 2013. In order to make our advocacy in this important case as zealous and impactful as possible, we need your help! We are asking for community members, allies, abolitionists, and transprisoner-advocates on the outside to join us for the following:
1) A Teach-In about the case, our client, and the Executive Clemency process on Friday April 5, 2013 from 5:30-7:30pm
AND
2) The Clemency Hearing itself on April 10, 2013 at 9am in Chicago’s Loop (however we ask that you commit to arriving no later than 8:30am).
Because of the sensitive nature of this case, we will let you know the details and locations of the Teach-In and Hearing after you contact us.
