Want to check out GqC?
You're invited! You need not e-mail the group or register. All meeting are open to anyone who wants to talk/ think about gender. This means you don't necessarily have to identify as gender-variant to come. However, we do ask that folks come for personal reasons (for example, we are not open for researchers or reporters to attend).
Or come to one of our many events... !
GqC is run on volunteer energy, so we're always looking for motivated folks to collaborate with us. Here are some ideas on how that's possible:
Suggest a space. We're always looking for South and West Side spaces to hold our events. While many LGBTQ resources exist only on the North Side, we're interested in keep GqC accessible to all who live in our city. If you have ideas for free event spaces, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Suggest a meeting topic or an event. Safe space meetings are for everyone. If there's something you want to talk about, let us know! Also, if you have an event or activity in mind for the group, we can work with you to make it happen.
Sit in on an organizers meeting. We hold organizer meetings a few times a month before our regular meetings. If you want to get a feel for how GqC operates or if you want to bring up an issue to organizers in person, this is the place for you! E-mail us for the most up-to-date information on times/ locations.
Become an official organizer! This means doing some of the above mentioned things (and many more) on a consistent basis. If that seems like something you'd be well-suited for/excited about then we want to hear from you! email@example.com.
