The Northwestern University Queer Pride Graduate Student Association is hosting its sixth annual queer and sexuality studies graduate student conference on April 12-14, 2013, and this year’s theme is Philosophical Investigations into Sexuality.
This year’s keynote is Patricia Marino of the University of Waterloo (http://patriciamarino.org/). Professor Marino, who primarily works on ethics, philosophy of sex, and epistemology, is currently co-President of the Society for the Philosophy of Sex and Love.
Scholars from various philosophical traditions will be participating as well as those from other disciplines who work at the interfaces of philosophy and sexuality.http://groups.northwestern.edu/queerpride/?page_id=279The Queer Pride Graduate Student Association is bringing this year’s Queergasm! home to the Alvina Krause Studio in Annie May Swift Hall on Northwestern University’s Evanston campus. In conjunction with the 6th Annual Queertopia! Conference, QPGSA invites you to come eat, drink, play, and ogle during an evening of performances exploring the intersections of gender, sexuality, race and national belonging by local and regional artists. This year Queergasm! will feature NU Performance Studies alumna Rebecca Kling, Chicago-based multi-disciplinary artist Kiam Marcelo Junio, and radical drag performer Dirty Grits, among others TBA.
